Applewood Outdoor bird houses with camera are built to ornithological specs designed to be attractive to a wide variety of small birds including Bluebirds, Chickadees, Tree Swallows, Violet-green Swallows, House Wrens and more! Our bird houses have a predator guard to make it difficult for raccoons, squirrels, and cats to reach inside. We recommend installing four to six feet above ground level on a post or tree, mounting screws are included. We proudly handcraft these bird houses in our tiny Wisconsin woodworking shop. The rough sawn cedar construction gives it a rustic look and rot resistant properties to ensure many years of enjoyment. Good airflow is important to keep your birdhouse dry, and occupants healthy- there is an opening at the top of the front door, and drain vents in the floor. Your birdhouse should be emptied annually, an easy access door in front is securely latched closed by simply turning the latch. The camera and solar panel are easy to set up and install. The app is available for Apple and Android devices, and has straight forward set up instructions in the app. Please keep in mind that the camera needs to be within reach of a WIFI signal.
